RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS
How can I make a reservation?
You can easily book via our website: https://modernhippycampsite.com/book/. If it doesn’t work, we’re happy to help you book manually.
I booked a stay but haven’t received a confirmation email.
Confirmation emails are sent automatically. Please check your spam folder. If you still can’t find it, let us know and we’ll resend it.
Why is the amount I paid different from the amount on the invoice?
This is due to the service fee from the booking system. That fee is already included in your payment and does not need to be paid again.
When do I need to pay?
You pay in advance when booking. Any remaining balance can be paid upon arrival.
I’m coming with two camping units. Can I book just one pitch?
No — at Modern Hippy Campsite, you pay per camping unit (tent, campervan, caravan, etc.). Our planning is based on the number of setups, not the number of people. This way we can guarantee enough space, privacy and a relaxed atmosphere for everyone.
If you’re bringing two units — for example a campervan and an extra tent — you have two options:
– Book two separate pitches, or
– Add an “Extra Camping Unit” to your booking (available as a booking option in the form).
Not sure what counts as an extra unit? Just reach out and we’ll help you figure it out.
Can I change my reservation?
Yes, please contact us and we’ll check what’s possible. We try to be flexible.
What is your cancellation policy?
For individual bookings (1–3 units):
– Cancellation more than 4 weeks before arrival: 0% charge
– Cancellation between 3 and 2 weeks before arrival: 50% charge
– Cancellation within 1 week before arrival: 100% charge
– In all cases, a €15 administration fee applies
For group bookings (4 units or more):
– Cancellation more than 2 months before arrival: 50% charge
– Cancellation between 2 and 1 month before arrival: 75% charge
– Cancellation within 1 month before arrival: 100% charge
We advise all guests to take out travel insurance that covers unexpected changes.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
What time can I check in?
Check-in is possible from 15:00.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is before 12:00. Later check-out may be possible upon request.
Where do I check in?
You can check in at the farm shop during opening hours.
Can I arrive earlier or leave later?
Check-in is possible during the opening hours of our farm shop. Arriving earlier? Let us know and we’ll check what’s possible.
Outside of opening hours, you can call us at +31 6 39507313 to check in.
Please note: check-in after 20:00 is only possible by prior arrangement. If you’re working late or have a long journey, please inform us in advance so we can plan accordingly.
CAMPING & FACILITIES
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, dogs are welcome. Please keep them on a leash and make sure they don’t cause any disturbance.
Is electricity available?
Yes, electricity is available. Please indicate your needs during booking. And bring a extension cord (minimum of 20m).
Are fire pits available?
Yes, fire pits are available. Firewood is for sale at the shop. Only clean, untreated wood is allowed.
Can I bring my own firewood?
Yes, but only if it’s 100% clean and untreated.
Can I make a fire?
Yes, in the designated fire pits and with a bucket of water nearby. Fires may be banned during extreme drought. Fire blankets and extinguishers are available at the shed.
Are there sanitary facilities?
Yes, we provide toilets, outdoor sink, and a basic solar shower setup. It’s all simple, clean, and eco-friendly.
Are the showers warm?
We use a solar-powered shower, which means there’s warm water when the sun has done its job. On sunny days, the water warms up nicely. On cloudy days, expect a refreshingly cool rinse. It’s all part of the outdoor experience!
Can I use my own shampoo or dish soap?
No. Please only use the ecological products we provide. Other products can harm our eco-filter system.
Is there a fridge?
A shared fridge is available in the communal area.
Is there Wi-Fi on the campsite?
No. We offer a low-tech, off-grid experience. Disconnect and enjoy.
BREAKFAST & FOOD OPTIONS
What is the Farmhouse Breakfast Package?
For €12.50 per person, you get a generous breakfast with sourdough bread, cheese, jam, coffee, tea, juice, seasonal fruit, and extras.

How do I order breakfast?
You can pre-order by email or in our farm shop. Please order the day before.
Do you serve lunch or dinner?
We don’t offer a set lunch or dinner service, but our extensively stocked farm shop has everything you need — from breakfast to dessert. You’ll find fresh local products, ready-made meals, salads, and plenty of ingredients to put together your own feast.
RENTALS & EXTRAS
Do you rent out SUP boards?
Yes, we rent inflatable SUP boards for €25 per half day. Deposit: €50 per board. You must be 18+ to rent. Use is at your own risk.
Do you offer other rental items?
Yes. We also offer bikes.
Do you offer group packages or event bookings?
Yes. Please contact us for custom arrangements or group offers.

How can I reach you?
Email us at info@modernhippycampsite.com or call us during opening hours. If we don’t answer right away, we’re probably outside. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Can I book last minute?
Yes, just send us a quick message. If we have space, we’ll fit you in.
Can I buy farm products or local packages?
Yes, our farm shop offers a variety of regional goods and packages. Ask us or check our website for details.
OTHER QUESTIONS
Can I come with a camper van?
Yes, campers are welcome. Note that hardened surfaces are limited. Please mention it when booking.
What size can a small extra tent be?
A small pop-up tent is allowed as an additional tent for storage, kids or pets. It must be compact and placed next to your main camping setup.
The cost is €5 per night. Please mention it during booking so we can plan accordingly.
What if something goes wrong during my stay?
Please let us know right away. We’ll always do our best to find a solution.
Can I park my car next to my tent?
No, we ask you to park on the parking lot.
Do you accept large groups?
We welcome small groups, but we’re not a party campsite. Quiet enjoyment of nature and each other is key. Want to book 4 pitches or more? Please contact us first so we can help you plan it.
Can I play music at my pitch?
We love a laid-back vibe, but please keep music low and limited to your own pitch. After 22:00 we ask for silence so everyone can enjoy the peace.
Is there shade on the campsite?
Our field has open and semi-shaded spots. Let us know if you prefer a shaded pitch — we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Can I arrive without a reservation?
Yes, but we strongly recommend booking in advance — especially in weekends and holidays — as we often fill up.
Do you accept campers with chemical toilets?
Yes, but we don’t have a chemical toilet disposal point.
Is there a freezer or fridge I can use?
We have a shared fridge available in the communal space. Space is limited, so please keep it to essentials only. There is no freezer.
